Prior to being arrested, you were probably asked by the officer to perform certain tests at the roadside. The purpose of these tests are to help the officer to determine whether or not it is appropriate to arrest you.
For example, he may of asked you to walk a straight line, stand on one leg, or may of tested your eyes. These tests are called the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. They were designed back in the 1970's based on a federal government grant. The research was done by the government, and the purpose of them was to give the prosecutor one more tool to add to their arsenal to help them gain a conviction.
As a certified instructor of the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, I am able to review your police report and/or video tape, to see what the police officer did wrong. I have found in my many years of practice, that the police officers almost always do something wrong in administering these tests. In fact, scientific studies have shown that more than 95% of the time that police officers administer these tests incorrectly.
After I find out what they did wrong, I can use that
to help raise a reasonable doubt and win your case at trial.
