As your case moves through the system, we will providing you with a great deal of information about the status of your case.
Each time the case is scheduled for a new hearing, you will be notified by us. Therefore, it probably will not be necessary for you to call our office to find out what's happening with your case.

However, there are certain times when it will be important for us to contact you. Those times include when an offer is made by the prosecutor to settle the case. This is called a plea bargain. If the prosecutor does offer a plea bargain, then we have an obligation ethically to report this to you.

You may of told us at the beginning, when we first met, that you wanted to take the case to trial. Or you may of given us an idea what type of reduction will be acceptable to you. Therefore, you may be wondering why we are telling you about an offer that does not match what you already have told us. The reason that we do that, is because we are required to.
