One thing I want you to understand is that hiring the Barone Defense Firm, and aggressively defending your case, is not going to result in harsher penalities being imposed on you by the court.
The courts, believe it or not, want to see good advocates in the courtroom. They want to see good lawyers. Having good lawyers in the courtroom is really a pleasure for them, because oftentimes their sitting in the courtroom, bored out of their minds and watching lawyers that don't know what their doing. When they see a lawyer that really knows how to present the case, it's a pleasure for them. It's not any different if you were sitting and watching professional sports, watching somebody that really knows how to play the game. It's much more pleasurable than watching an amateur, and that's what judges enjoy. Plus i'm a zealous advocate and we have an ethical obligation to be zealous advocates. What that means is that we are supposed to defend the case.
The system is setup so that your case can be and should be defended, and that's what we want to do. We want to defend your case. We have found after many years of practice that judges do not, simply because you've defended the case, impose a harsher penalty. Oftentimes because you have a well-known lawyer, somebody who's known to be able to obtain results in court , you will be able to get a better result even without defending the case. That's one of the main distinguishing characteristics between the top lawyers, and the lawyers that only dabble in drunk driving.
